i think its supposed to be the xunlai chest that stores everything from everyones storage accounts, i cant remember where i read that tho, most likely one of the wikis

If you open it the spirits of the dead pour out and destroy every living thing that is not tied up to a pole closing there eyes After it is done killing everything the lid falls back on top and the bindings that held you to the pole burn off......... and almost forgot you get the chick in the end .............
